First Brazilian melons loaded

SEASON START WEEK 36

Last week (33), the first containers of our DULCE melons were again loaded in Brazil. We start the new season in week 36 with Galia and yellow melons, and watermelons. Cantaloupe and Piel de Sapo melons follow shortly thereafter. Besides our house brand DULCE, the melons will also be available under our NERO Premium label.

Our regular cultivation partner in the Mossoro region (Rio Grande del Norte) in northeast Brazil has recently been experiencing very favourable weather conditions. Consequently, the melons being shipped now are of excellent quality. Strict selection during sorting and packaging should also ensure this quality throughout the season – up to and including week 8. After that, colleagues from our own business in Costa Rica will take over again until about week 17.

Throughout the year, Staay Food Group provides a direct supply chain from the cultivation site to the buyer. And multiple contracted shipping companies and carriers ensure continuity. Melons are available at both daily, weekly and contract prices. Customised packaging is also possible; in addition to pallets of one melon type, we can also deliver melons on mix pallets, for example. And besides packaging under our house brands DULCE and NERO Premium, we can also offer other options by arrangement.
